friends making work

is a design collective and practice of material interests co-founded by Amelyn Ng, Gabriel Vergara, and Christine Giorgio. We make material interventions that span exhibitions, media, and transdisciplinary design, with cumulative backgrounds in architecture, digital media and illustration, urban design, and film. We often work with a broader network of collaborators (it’s more fun that way). We are based in New York City.

Past projects include D.E.P.O.T. / Gross Domestic Practices  (USA), prácticas domésticas brutas (CL), and Planetary Home Improvement: From Just-in-time to Geological Time (CZ). Upcoming projects at Bangkok Design Week (TH) and the Center for Architecture Lab (USA).
